What's the difference between Instant and Limit modes in Convert?
Instant mode enables you to convert your assets immediately based on the quoted price displayed at the time of conversion.
Limit mode allows you to set a price you're willing to accept. The conversion will only be executed when the quoted price matches your limit price. Please note that the execution of limit orders depends on several factors, including the quoted price, your limit price, market depth, and liquidity. Any limit order that isn’t filled within 30 days will be automatically cancelled.
Are there any trading fees for using Bybit Convert?
No, Bybit Convert is completely free to use. The receivable amount shown on the conversion page is exactly what you'll receive in your account once the conversion is completed — no additional fees apply.
Which account will my converted assets be credited to?
Your assets will be credited to the account from which you initiate the conversion. Currently, Instant mode is supported on both the Funding Account and the Unified Trading Account, while Limit mode is only available via the Funding Account.
When will I receive my converted assets?
It depends on the conversion mode you choose.
- In Instant mode, conversions are completed immediately. If the conversion doesn't go through for any reason, you can simply try again.
- In Limit mode, your assets will be credited once your order is filled — when the quoted price reaches the limit price you set. Until then, the assets used for the conversion will be locked. If the order isn't filled within 30 days, it will be automatically cancelled.
Why was my Convert order cancelled?
Limit orders on Convert are valid for 30 days. If your order isn’t filled within that time, it will be cancelled automatically.
Why is the conversion rate different from the last traded price on the Spot market?
The real-time conversion rate is based on the best quote price from several market makers according to the current index price, and therefore, it can be different from the Spot market.
Why wasn't my Convert limit order filled, even though the price appeared to reach the set level on the chart (or vice versa)?
This can happen due to differences between the actual Convert exchange rate and the price shown on the chart.
The Convert exchange rate is a real-time rate based on the best available quotes from multiple market makers, calculated using the current index price. It may differ from the Bybit Spot market price.
The price chart displayed on the Convert page, however, is based on data pulled at regular intervals from the Spot candlestick chart. It's provided for reference only and does not reflect actual Convert rates.
What are the benefits of using Bybit Convert?
By using Bybit Convert, you can convert your crypto into any other supported assets with just a few clicks, without having to place orders manually on the Spot Market or worrying about any potential market impact when transacting bigger amounts.
What are the minimum and maximum transaction limits for Bybit Convert?
The minimum and maximum transaction limits will vary for different coins. Please refer to the single limit stated before you place the order. You can also view the details here.
Why did I receive the "Insufficient Balance" error?
Please ensure that your funds have been transferred to the selected account before you perform the conversion. For example, if you have selected your Funding Account, you will need to transfer your funds to your Funding Account.
Where can I check my conversion history?
On the website, simply click on Conversion History located in the upper right corner of the Bybit Convert page. While on the app, please navigate to Assets → Convert and tap the history icon in the top right corner of the Convert page.
