Introduction to the MNT Program

MNT is the native token of the Mantle ecosystem and provides a range of benefits on Bybit. You can trade or hold MNT for potential value growth, use it to accelerate your VIP status, and enjoy discounted trading fees. This article explains the different ways you can obtain and use MNT on Bybit.

How to Get MNT on Bybit

You can acquire MNT on Bybit through the following methods:

1. Crypto Deposit: Transfer MNT from an external wallet or exchange to your Bybit account.
2. One-Click Buy: Purchase MNT with fiat using supported payment methods such as P2P Trading, bank card, third-party payment or your fiat balance.
3. Spot Trading: Buy MNT flexibly with market or limit orders.
4. Convert: Swap any supported assets for MNT instantly or at your preferred rate.
5. Auto-Invest (DCA): Automate recurring purchases to accumulate MNT over time.
6. OTC Trading: Purchase large amounts of MNT at a fixed price with no slippage.
7. Discount Buy: Buy MNT at a price lower than the market rate.

MNT is also available for trading on Futures and Options (coming soon).

MNT Fee Discounts

How it works

Users who pay trading fees with MNT can enjoy a discount. This benefit is available to both VIP and non-VIP users, and the discount is applied automatically on top of your existing VIP rate:

— 25% off Spot and Spot Margin trading fees

— 10% off Futures (USDT Perpetual/Expiry and USDC Perpetual) trading fees

Example:

Suppose you're a VIP 4 user with a 0.0600% Taker rate. Buying 10 BTC on Spot with a market order would normally cost 0.006 BTC in fees. By paying with MNT, the fee is reduced by 25% to 0.0045 BTC worth of MNT. For more details, please refer to FAQ — Paying Trading Fees With MNT.

How to pay trading fees with MNT

On the web trading page, click Fee Rate and turn on the Using MNT for fee discount option.

If you're using the app, follow the steps below to enable Using MNT for fee discount option.

Notes:

— Only MNT in your Unified Trading Account (UTA) can be used to pay trading fees.

— The option is managed separately for Spot and Futures trading. Turning it on for Spot won't automatically apply it to Futures, and vice versa.

MNT Multiplier for VIP Upgrade

The MNT multiplier is a benefit for MNT holders that accelerates VIP progression by assigning additional weight to MNT in asset value calculations. The multiplier, based on your VIP tier, is applied to your MNT holdings, allowing you to advance to higher tiers with fewer total assets.

When calculating your total asset value, the system first applies the multiplier to your MNT holdings and then adds the value of your other assets. The formula is:

Effective balance = (MNT assets × Market price × Multiplier) + (Non-MNT assets × Market price)

Example:

On Sep 1, you are a non-VIP holding 65,000 MNT (assumed market price = $1) and 30,000 USDT.

Without the multiplier:

Your total asset value is $95,000, which doesn't meet the VIP 1 requirement as outlined in the VIP Program.

With the multiplier:

A 1.5x multiplier applies to your MNT holdings, raising the MNT value to $97,500 ($65,000 × 1.5). Adding 30,000 USDT brings your total asset value to $127,500, qualifying you for VIP 1.

Note: VIP levels refresh on T+1. In this example, you'll officially become VIP 1 and unlock its benefits on Sep 2.

If you're using the app, tap your profile picture in the upper-left corner, then tap your VIP level. Next, tap the question mark icon next to “Only a $ {certain amount} worth of MNT needed to upgrade” to see how much more you need to deposit to level up.

MNT Discount Buy

Discount Buy is an advanced earn product that gives you the chance to acquire assets at a preset price below the market rate.

For non-MNT products, there are two possible scenarios at maturity:

1. Settlement Price < Knockout Price: You will purchase the token at your preset discounted price.
2. Settlement Price ≥ Knockout Price: The purchase will not be triggered. You will receive your principal plus interest in USDT.

For MNT products, there is no Knockout Price. You always purchase MNT at the preset discounted price at maturity, regardless of market price fluctuations. The larger the purchase amount and the longer the lock-up period, the greater the discount. In addition, you will enjoy all MNT holder benefits during the lock-up period.
