Breaking: Wall Street analysts have just unveiled their forecasts for how high SpaceX stocks could go.
We already gave you a heads up in yesterday's (Monday, July 6th) Market Pulse report.
The “quiet period” for Wall Street analysts ended this week, after their employers (the big Wall Street banks) underwrote SpaceX’s US$ 86 billion IPO just last month.
Here are the 12-month forecasts for SpaceX’s share prices from these experts:
Morgan Stanley: $300
RBC Capital: $225
UBS: $210
Goldman Sachs: $205
Stifel: $190
And here’s how the recommendations from analysts surveyed by Bloomberg now stand:
17 ‘Buy’ calls (vs. 8 as of yesterday)
4 ‘Holds’ (unchanged from yesterday)
1 ‘Sell’ rating, by Morningstar analyst, Nicolas Owens (unchanged from yesterday)
In other words, Wall Street appears overwhelmingly bullish on SpaceX’s stock price performance.
As a a result, Wall Street’s median 12-month target price has now risen from 34.4% to 35.9%.
Morgan Stanley’s forecasts alone ($300) implies that SpaceX could rise another 87% by this time next year!
To be certain, Morgan Stanley also provides a range of views:
Bear case: SpaceX stocks could sink to $75
Bull case: SpaceX stocks could skyrocket to $600
The latter optimistic scenario predicts that revenue for Elon Musk’s rocket and AI company could reach US$ 4.4 trillion by 2040!

Also today: SpaceX due for Nasdaq 100 “glow up”
As mentioned yesterday, SpaceX stocks are set to be included into the Nasdaq 100 index today (Tuesday, July 7th).
According to Bloomberg Intelligence, this addition to the Nasdaq 100 will drive nearly US$ 5 billion in purchases of Space X stocks.
It remains to be seen whether this index inclusion would actually result in a “sell the news” type event, with short selling overcoming potential passive fund inflows.
At the time of writing, NAS100 is yet again testing support at its 21-day simple moving average (SMA) - a crucial support level we had highlighted since our June 15th Market Pulse report.

Beyond the short-term volatility, if Wall Street’s forecasts are to prove true, that suggests that SpaceX stocks should have a lot more room to soar over the next 12 months.
