What Is Bloktopia (BLOK)?

BLOK is the native utility token of Bloktopia, a virtual skyscraper built in the metaverse that contains 21 levels to pay homage to the 21 million bitcoins in circulation.

Developed with the Unity engine, Bloktopia is built and backed by the Polygon Network to ensure that transactions on its platform are fast and affordable.

Its decentralized metaverse is designed to provide everything crypto-related by allowing its users to experience virtual reality (VR) in an immersive and engaging environment.

Of the 21 levels, the most active are 1, 6 and 21, where you’ll find a help desk, an auditorium and a luxurious gaming penthouse, respectively.

On Bloktopia you can learn about crypto, earn through various income streams such as staking and NFTs, play games and create avatars and social apps, and even participate in events. 

Bloktopia Price

BLOK was launched in October 2021 at $0.012, and immediately increased in value by over 100% within its first week to hit $0.026 on Oct 14, 2021.

Bloktopia continued to surge under the favorable market conditions as most NFT tokens were spiking. BLOK’s value pumped hard in the last week of October, leaping to hit its all-time high of $0.178 on Oct 30, 2021.

In the following weeks, Bloktopia’s token price corrected, dropping to a low of $0.069 on November 12. But its bullish momentum saw it retest its highest price as it formed a double top, hitting $0.138 on Nov 30, 2021.

From there, BLOK’s price gradually declined as things cooled off in the market. As with most tokens, 2022 was a slow year for BLOK. Its price continued to drop, and finally bottomed out to $0.0046 following the Luna crypto crash in May 2022.

BLOK didn’t immediately recover after that, hitting its lowest price of $0.00177 on Dec 31, 2022. However, things began to look up in 2023 as BLOK has more than doubled from this low to trade around $0.003 in February 2023.

What Is BLOK Used For?

As the utility token for Bloktopia, BLOK is at the heart of the platform’s operations. BLOK is used to purchase all virtual real estate on Bloktopia, as well as REBLOK and ADBLOK NFTs, which allow you to earn passive income from the revenue generated.

You can unlock various other earning opportunities by staking BLOK tokens, then lock them in Bloktopia’s staking pools for a period of 90 to 360 days to earn more BLOK tokens. You can also stake BLOK in a Jointly Owned Blok Enterprise (JOBE) to share in the revenue generated by REBLOK or ADBLOK NFTs.

Other uses of BLOK include participating in IDOs on BlokPad and accessing exclusive events.

Bloktopia Tokenomics

BLOK has a max and total supply of 200 billion. Bloktopia has burned 376 million BLOK tokens, and locked 44 billion tokens belonging to founders and the project team until October 2023 to reduce the supply. Furthermore, the Bloktopia team has decided that all BLOK tokens generated by REBLOK sales will be burned.
