Learn how to join WSOT 2026 on Bybit. Complete beginner's guide covering registration, trading basics, strategies, and how to compete for real cryptoc...
The World Series of Trading 2026 is Bybit's global multi-asset trading competition. It combines trading leaderboards, team participation, AI trading and reward tasks under one event with a total prize pool of up to 10 million USDT.
This beginner's guide explains the official competition structure, calendar, eligibility and registration process shown on the live WSOT 2026 page.
What Is WSOT 2026?
WSOT 2026 is not divided into “Individual Spot,” “Individual Futures” and “Team” categories. Instead, it contains five main areas:
- Preheat Quest
- Squad Showdown
- Global Assets Showdown
- Individual Showdown
- AI Showdown
Each area has separate rules. Participants should choose based on eligible account type, available products, ranking method and risk—not on categories from earlier or unrelated competitions.
WSOT 2026 Calendar
| Event | Registration or activity period | Main competition or draw period |

WSOT 2026 Prize Pools
The published maximum pools include:
- Squad Showdown: up to 3.2 million USDT
- Global Assets Showdown: up to 3 million USDT
- Individual Showdown: up to 2 million USDT
- AI Showdown: up to 1 million USDT
- Additional task and draw rewards through Preheat Quest
Prize pools may unlock according to cumulative qualifying volume. A headline maximum does not mean every participant receives a reward.
Preheat Quest
Preheat Quest gives eligible UTA Main Account users assigned tasks across five Arenas:
- New & Invite
- Spot
- Derivatives
- TradFi
- Bybit AI
Completing an eligible task provides the configured reward and one Lucky Wednesday ticket. Recurring tasks can issue a ticket for each completed cycle. New User Gifts do not issue additional Lucky Wednesday tickets.
Tasks are personalized. Log in and read the live task card rather than relying on an example threshold from another user or earlier campaign.
Squad Showdown
Squads compete for up to 3.2 million USDT.
Important rules include:
- A squad must reach at least 10 members before November 13 at 09:30 UTC.
- Squads below the minimum are dissolved.
- Members cannot leave or switch squads after the lock time.
- Eligible accounts include UTA Main Accounts and UTA Subaccounts.
- Bybit AI and General AI Subaccounts are not eligible for Squad Showdown.
- Registered UTAs must maintain at least $100 during the main competition to qualify for the P&L% leaderboard.
Squads are ranked by P&L%, subject to volume and account requirements. Members trade through separately registered accounts and should never share credentials or coordinate matched trades.
Global Assets Showdown
Global Assets contains two volume leaderboards.
Spot Volume Leaderboard
Eligible volume includes:
Spot + Convert + Direct Stock + DCA + Grid Bot Spot volume
Up to 400 qualifying participants can share the unlocked pool, subject to final rank and minimum-volume requirements. Zero-fee pairs are excluded.
TradFi Perps Volume Leaderboard
This leaderboard uses eligible TradFi Perps taker volume. Maker volume and zero-fee pairs do not count.
TradFi Perps are leveraged and may not be available in every region.
Individual Showdown
The Individual Showdown ranks participants by P&L within three UTA balance tiers.
| Tier | UTA balance |
|---|---|
| Lightweight | At least 100 USDT and below 2,000 USDT |
| Middleweight | At least 2,000 USDT and below 10,000 USDT |
| Heavyweight | At least 10,000 USDT |
Participants may move into a higher tier by reaching its balance threshold before November 13 at 10:00 UTC. They are not subsequently downgraded if the balance falls.
Accounts must maintain at least $100 during the competition to remain ranked. Reward positions also have minimum qualifying-volume requirements.
AI Showdown
The AI Showdown ranks eligible Bybit AI Subaccounts and General AI Subaccounts by P&L.
Each account is ranked separately. P&L across several AI accounts is not combined.
Trades made through the Bybit AI Main Account are not eligible. Once the competition begins, each registered eligible AI account must maintain at least $100 to qualify for the leaderboard.
How Qualifying Volume Is Calculated
For the Individual, Squad and AI Showdowns:
Qualifying Volume = Futures × 1 + (Spot + Convert) × 1.5 + Options ÷ 5
This volume formula does not create a universal ranking score. Individual and AI are ranked by P&L, while Squad uses P&L%.
The campaign page currently contains conflicting language about Trading Bot and Copy Trading volume. Participants should verify the controlling rule before relying on that activity.
How P&L Is Calculated
The published profit calculation is:
Profit = Final equity, including unrealized P&L and/or bonus − Initial equity, including unrealized P&L and/or bonus + Withdrawals − Deposits
Transfers, conversions, bonuses and certain lending movements may affect deposits and withdrawals. Equity updates periodically during the event.

Who Can Participate?
Eligibility depends on the competition section and jurisdiction.
Common restrictions include:
- Market makers, institutional users and users at Pro 3 or above are excluded from major Showdowns.
- Restricted jurisdictions cannot participate.
- The event is not available to EEA residents.
- Product availability can vary by region.
- UTA and subaccount requirements differ by competition.
Registration itself has no universal minimum-equity requirement. However, later leaderboard eligibility can require a minimum balance, qualifying volume or squad size.
How to Register
- Log in to an eligible Bybit account.
- Open the official WSOT 2026 page.
- Review the terms for the competition you want to enter.
- Click the applicable registration control.
- Confirm the registered account type.
- For Squad, create or join a squad before the cutoff.
- For AI, register and trade through an eligible AI Subaccount.
- Check that registration status appears in the campaign interface.
There is no step requiring users to select a fictional Individual Spot or Individual Futures category.
Beginner Risk Checklist
Before participating:
- Understand whether the leaderboard uses P&L, P&L% or volume.
- Learn the selected product before trading it.
- Avoid leverage you do not understand.
- Review order size, fees and potential slippage.
- Keep account credentials private.
- Never use wash trading, matched trading or artificial volume.
- Trade only with capital you can afford to lose.
Competition pressure can encourage unnecessary activity. A leaderboard is not a reason to abandon normal risk limits.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is WSOT 2026 only for futures traders?

Is there an Individual Spot competition?
No. Spot activity appears in Global Assets and can contribute to qualifying volume in other Showdowns.

Eligible beginners may register, but participation involves real financial risk. Beginners should avoid products they do not understand.
Final Takeaway
WSOT 2026 is a collection of distinct competitions and tasks, not one ROI contest. Review the correct account, ranking method, eligible products and calendar for the section you enter.
