About Cartesi (CTSI)
What Is Cartesi (CTSI)?
Cartesi (CTSI) is a multi-chain decentralized platform that offers blockchain developers the world’s first blockchain operating system. Cartesi is a Layer 2 solution that is chain-agnostic and works with all the major Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatible blockchains, including Ethereum, Polygon, Avalanche, BNB Smart Chain, Arbitrum, and Optimism.
As a blockchain OS, Cartesi offers functionality to help utilize external development tools within a blockchain environment. Cartesi lets developers use common programming languages that run on Linux, such as Python, Java, and C++, instead of having to learn the Solidity programming language used to create smart contracts directly on an EVM blockchain. Since these programming languages are very popular and have a large user base among developers, Cartesi helps expand access to blockchain to wider groups of technology professionals.
Cartesi also greatly improves the scalability of decentralized apps (DApps) developed using this platform. DApps built via Cartesi enjoy a 10,000x increase in computational scalability.
CTSI, Cartesi’s native cryptocurrency, is an ERC-20 token that can also be wrapped into a BEP-20 token on the BNB Smart Chain.
Cartesi Price
CTSI started trading in late April 2020 at an initial price of around $0.05 to $0.06. Until February 2021, the token’s price was remarkably stable, fluctuating in a very narrow range between $0.03 and $0.08. It was in February 2021 when CTSI experienced its first large jump in price. Between early February and early May, CTSI rose from $0.07 to an all-time high of $1.74.
This was followed by a crash down to $0.32 by late July 2021. Having bottomed out at that price, CTSI posted another impressive rally, reaching a significant peak of $1.44 in mid-November 2021. Unfortunately, the massive November 2021 crypto market crash caused CTSI to enter a prolonged period of downtrend.
Between November 2021 and November 2022, the token’s price largely moved downward, though there were several modest, short-term upswings within the general downtrend. By November 2022, CTSI had dropped to around $0.10 and remained largely stable since then.
What Is CTSI Used For?
