Bybit TradFi: how to trade gold, stocks, FX and more on the Bybit website



The Bybit website gives you access to gold, forex, stocks, indices and commodities without leaving the Bybit platform. These are grouped under a dedicated TradFi entry in the top navigation bar — easy to find and switch between.

TradFi Perpetuals (listed under Futures) are Bybit-native 24/7 contracts using your existing UTA. CFD (formerly called 'TradFi') offers 400+ instruments with up to 500x leverage on forex, powered by Infra Capital through a dedicated MT5 CFD Account.

Bybit TradFi is the dedicated section on the Bybit website for traditional financial asset trading. TradFi is a top-level navigation category containing two separate products, each with its own account structure and trading mechanics.

Note: On the Bybit platform, TradFi Perpetuals are listed under Futures in the navigation. The Futures category includes both perpetual and expiry-dated contracts for crypto, while only perpetual contracts are available under TradFi. CFD and Futures are separate products with different account structures, fee models and trading mechanics.

How to access TradFi on the Bybit website

TradFi appears as a top-level item in the Bybit website's main navigation bar.

1. Visit bybit.com and log in to your account.

2. Hover over TradFi in the top navigation bar. A dropdown menu appears showing four options: Futures, CFD, Overview and a market browser where you can browse instruments by asset class.

3. Select Futures to open the TradFi Perpetuals trading interface, or CFD to open the CFD trading interface.

Getting started: account setup

For TradFi Perpetuals (Futures)

No additional account is required. TradFi Perpetuals run on the same infrastructure as Bybit crypto perpetuals and use your existing Unified Trading Account (UTA). Complete KYC verification, accept the TradFi risk disclosure on first access and ensure your UTA holds sufficient USDT. If you already trade crypto perpetuals on Bybit, the interface and margin system will be familiar.

For gold (XAUUSDT) and silver (XAGUSDT), a separate metals risk agreement is required on first access. This is a one-time step.

For CFD

CFD requires a dedicated MT5 CFD Account. This is a one-time setup that takes a few minutes. It does not require a separate Bybit login — the account is linked to your existing credentials.

1. Log in to bybit.com and complete KYC verification.

2. Hover over TradFi in the top nav and select CFD.

3. Click Apply to create your MT5 CFD Account.

4. Transfer USDT or BYUSDT from your Bybit account into the MT5 CFD Account. Your balance will display as USDx at a 1:1 ratio with USDT.

About USDx: once USDT or BYUSDT is transferred into the MT5 CFD Account, the balance displays as USDx. This is an internal display unit at a 1:1 ratio with USDT — it is not a cryptocurrency and cannot be deposited or withdrawn directly.

How to trade stocks and indices on the Bybit website

Stocks and indices are the most popular TradFi instruments on Bybit right now. You can trade them through both products in the TradFi section.

Via TradFi Perpetuals (Futures)

Hover over TradFi in the top nav and select Futures. Browse stock perpetuals such as TSLAUSDT or NVDAUSDT, or index perpetuals like SPXUSDT. Set direction, leverage and size, then confirm. Perpetuals trade 24/7, so you can react to after-hours earnings or weekend developments without waiting for markets to open.

Via CFD

Hover over TradFi in the top nav and select CFD. Select Stocks (Apple, Tesla, NVIDIA and more) or Indices (S&P 500, Nasdaq, Dow Jones and others) from the category list. Set direction (Buy or Sell), quantity in lots or USDx value, and optional TP/SL. Click Buy or Sell to confirm. CFD stock trading follows the session hours of the underlying exchange with up to 5x leverage on individual stocks. Check the Contract Info tab for the exact schedule for each instrument.

How to trade gold on the Bybit website

Gold can be traded through either product in the TradFi section.

Via TradFi Perpetuals (Futures)

Hover over TradFi in the top nav and select Futures. Search for XAUUSDT (gold perpetual). Select Long or Short, set leverage and enter your position size. TradFi Perpetuals on gold trade 24/7, including weekends and holidays. Accept the metals risk agreement on first access.

Tip: CFD gold follows market hours. TradFi Perpetuals (Futures) trade 24/7. To react to gold price movements outside market hours — such as over a weekend or during a geopolitical event — use the Futures sub-tab.

Via CFD

Hover over TradFi in the top nav and select CFD. Select Metals from the category list. Search for XAUUSD.s (gold) or XAGUSD.s (silver). Set direction, lot size and confirm. CFD metals follow traditional market hours.

How to trade forex on the Bybit website

Forex is available through the CFD product. More than 70 currency pairs are available — major pairs such as EUR/USD, GBP/USD and USD/JPY, minor pairs and exotic pairs such as USD/TRY. Leverage on major forex pairs reaches up to 500x. Trading follows market hours, generally 24 hours a day from Monday to Friday.

1. Hover over TradFi in the top nav and select CFD and Forex.

2. Browse or search for your preferred currency pair.

3. Set your order details: direction (Buy or Sell), quantity in lots or USDx value, order type (Market or Limit) and optional take-profit and stop-loss levels.

4. Click Buy or Sell to submit the order.

How to trade commodities on the Bybit website

Commodities are accessible through both TradFi products, giving you flexibility to choose based on leverage preference, trading hours and account type.

Via TradFi Perpetuals (Futures)

Hover over TradFi in the top nav and select Futures. Browse commodity perpetuals such as crude oil under Perpetual. Set direction, leverage and size, then confirm. Perpetuals trade 24/7.

Via CFD

Hover over TradFi in the top nav and select CFD. Select Commodities from the category list. Choose your preferred instrument (crude oil, gasoline, etc.). Set direction (Buy or Sell), lot size and confirm. CFD commodities follow traditional market hours.

What changed for existing TradFi users

If you previously traded using the product called TradFi on the Bybit website, here is a precise summary of what changed and what remained the same. Existing positions, open orders, available balances and trading conditions are all unchanged. No action is required.

What changed:

• Navigation: TradFi now appears as a top-level item in the Bybit website's main navigation bar — previously it was accessed via the Trade dropdown.

• Product name: The product previously called 'TradFi' is now called CFD.

• Account name: Your TradFi Account is now your MT5 CFD Account. No action is needed — your balance, positions and settings are unchanged.

• New product added: TradFi Perpetuals (Futures sub-tab) — a Bybit-native product that uses your UTA. This is separate from CFD.

What stayed the same:

• All CFD instruments, leverage levels, spreads and fee structures.

• All existing positions and available trading funds.
