What Is XANA (XETA)?

XANA (XETA) is an Ethereum virtual machine (EVM)–based blockchain built specifically for the metaverse and metaverse-related decentralized apps (DApps). Users of XANA can buy land and other metaverse assets, such as clothes and accessories, to interact in an immersive digital world provided by the platform.

The main features of XANA include:

Multi-chain NFT Marketplace — XANALIA works on the Ethereum, BNB Chain and Polygon blockchains, where you can trade XANA Metaverse NFTs.

Launchpad — XANA Metaverse Launchpad can be used to launch NFTs in a variety of popular genres, such as anime, games or fashion.

XETA is XANA’s native cryptocurrency. It’s available in both the ERC-20 and BEP-20 token standards. The token shares the same ticker with two different and completely unrelated crypto projects — a Swiss-based DeFi platform, XETA (XETA) and another metaverse-related blockchain platform, Xeta Reality (XETA).

The XETA token started trading on the market in July 2022 at around $0.13. After hovering from $0.08 to $0.10 for its first few days of trading, XETA declined to $0.036, its then-lowest price, by late August 2022.

Since then, XETA’s price has been on a slow, modest recovery course. It experienced a minor spike to nearly $0.10 in mid-September 2022, but has largely ranged between $0.05 and $0.08. In general, XETA’s price has exhibited relative stability by the standards of the volatile cryptocurrency market.

What Is XETA Used For?

XETA is used on the XANA platform for a variety of purposes: Staking, governance, NFT minting and tournament gaming. Staking XETA not only earns interest but also unlocks additional benefits, such as exclusive access to some NFTs and rare plots of land. Unstaking your XETA tokens involves a 14-day wait, during which you cannot use the funds unless you pay an 18% fee on the staked amount in order to bypass the waiting period.

XETA also has a governance function that will be operational when its on-platform decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) is launched with full functionality. Holders of XETA will be able to vote on the burning of tokens, as well as key changes to the platform.

Other functionalities of XETA include payments for minting the NFTs used in the XANA Metaverse world, and ticket fees for tournament games.

XETA is a supply-capped deflationary token. Its initial total and max supply were specified as 5 billion tokens. However, in the past, the project has burned some of its supply, effectively reducing it below 5 billion XETA. The current total supply is 4,977,500,000.
